Androgenesis—Technology for Obtaining Genetically Stable Breeding Material of Capsicum annuum L.

چکیده

Androgenesis in vitro is a basic method of obtaining haploid plants and DH (doubled haploid) lines major crops such as potato, rapeseed, tomato, pepper, wheat, maize, barley, also many different minor species with lower agricultural impact. Diploid appearing among androgenic regenerants are the effect spontaneous doubling chromosome number cells during an embryo’s early developmental stages valuable fully homozygous breeding material. The subject presented research diploidization occurring development androgenic, pepper regenerants. In experiment, formation diploid seeds was observed progeny plant derived anther culture hybrid (Capsicum annuum L. ATZ × Capsicum `Corno di toro`)F2. Agromorphological molecular analyses concerned eight being anther-derived regenerant. Five constituted phenotypically balanced group agromorphological features. Their genetic homogeneity confirmed using 10 RAPD markers 16 ISSR markers. Based on results, it concluded that can be source diploid, apomictic seeds, obtained offspring may constitute genetically stable,

Properties of chlorophyllase from Capsicum annuum L. fruits.

The in vitro properties of semi-purified chlorophyllase (chlorophyll-chlorophyllido hydrolase, EC 3.1.1.14) from Capsicum annuum fruits have been studied. The enzyme showed an optimum of activity at pH 8.5 and 50 degrees C. Substrate specificity was studied for chlorophyll (Chl) a, Chl b, pheophytin (Phe) a and Phe b, with Km values of 10.70, 4.04, 2.67 and 6.37 microM respectively. Substrate i...

Proteome analysis of bell pepper (Capsicum annuum L.) chromoplasts.

We report a comprehensive proteome analysis of chromoplasts from bell pepper (Capsicum annuum L.). The combination of a novel strategy for database-independent detection of proteins from tandem mass spectrometry (MS/MS) data with standard database searches allowed us to identify 151 proteins with a high level of confidence. These include several well-known plastid proteins but also novel protei...

Carotenoid biosynthesis changes in five red pepper (Capsicum annuum L.) cultivars during ripening. Cultivar selection for breeding.

Changes in the biosynthesis of individual carotenoid pigments have been investigated during fruit ripening of five cultivars of red pepper (Capsicum annuum L.): Mana, Numex, Belrubi, Delfin, and Negral (a chlorophyll-retaining mutant when ripe). The study was carried out throughout the ripening process, and with special emphasis on the ripe stage, to discover possible differences between cultiv...
